Christmas Mocktail - Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub with Ginger ale and Lime

Cranberry Hibiscus Ginger Lime Fizz – How to Love Cooking

Cranberry Hibiscus Ginger Lime Fizz

This bright and refreshing Cranberry Hibiscus Ginger Lime Fizz made with Element Shrub’s Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub is a beautiful mocktail that everyone can enjoy. It’s a perfect signature drink for the holiday season and has a fun tropical twist!

Thank you to ELEMENT [SHRUB] for providing the shrubs for this recipe!

One of my favorite parts of food blogging is getting the opportunity to try new products through brand collaborations. Recently, Element Shrub reached out to me to see if I wanted to try some of their shrubs, and after a bit of research, I knew this would be a product I would absolutely love.

So, about me, I’m not a big drinker and never really have been. Between always having to sing on the weekends and dealing with migraines from time to time (womp womp), I typically avoid the hard stuff.

Usually, I’m relegated to water or soft drinks when I go out because it’s rare to find a place that makes unique and delicious non-alcoholic beverages.

That’s why I’m so excited to share Element Shrub’s products with you all!

So What is a Shrub?

A shrub is essentially a syrup made with vinegar, in this case, organic apple cider vinegar. They’re typically infused with fruit, spices, or floral flavors and sweetened.

Shrubs can be added to carbonated water, sodas, and of course used as a mixer in cocktails. The Shrubs from Element Shrub are made with organic apple cider vinegar, fresh non-GMO fruit, organic spices, and pure organic cane sugar. I love how simple (and readable) the ingredients are!

Sweet, Fruity Mixers for Drinks!

These shrubs have a sweet, fruity flavor and a nice bright acidity from the apple cider vinegar, which I personally LOVE.

They are the perfect ingredient to create an interesting and flavorful drink, with or without alcohol! Beyond beverages, you can use them for dressings, marinades, and sauces too!

Tropical Holiday Drinks!

For a signature holiday drink that’s a little more tropical in color scheme and flavor – I recommend going with their Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub.

The drink is a cinch to create, and they’re made right in the champagne glass. To make them beautiful and festive, I like to sugar the rims of the glasses by dipping them in some fresh squeezed lime juice and then into some granulated sugar. They will look sparkly and snow frosted!

Delicious Mocktail Recipe

Then, simply add some of the Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub and a few ounces of ginger ale. Garnish each drink with fresh cranberries and a half slice of lime dipped in sugar. Squeeze the lime into the drink before enjoying, and voila – an easy and pretty Cranberry Hibiscus Ginger Lime Fizz.

Element Shrub offers several different flavors of their shrubs including Grapefruit Vanilla and Chai Pear – perfect for the holidays.

These are a great item to have on your bar cart or to give to a friend who loves mixing up flavorful drinks!

Thank you to Element Shrub for allowing me to try these delightful shrubs!

Ingredients

  • 4 TBS (Divided) ELEMENT [SHRUB] Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub (Find them in the link above!)
  • 1 Can Ginger Ale
  • 1 Lime Sliced
  • 1 TBS Granulated Sugar
  • Fresh Cranberries (To garnish)

Instructions

  1. To sugar the rims of the champagne glasses, take two small plates and squeeze some lime juice on one, and place the granulated sugar on the other.

  2. Dip the rim of each glass in the lime juice first. Then, immediately dip it into the sugar, so it sticks. Allow to dry for one minute.

  3. Add 2 TBS of ELEMENT [SHRUB] Cranberry Hibiscus Shrub into to each glass. Then, top each glass off (almost to the top) with ginger ale.

  4. Garnish each drink with a few fresh cranberries and half a slice of lime dipped in the remaining sugar. Make a small cut in the middle of each half slice to help it stay on the glass. Squeeze the lime into the drink before enjoying, and have a happy holiday!
